A senior Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander has said there were just 10 seconds for the antiaircraft officer to decide whether to fire when a Ukrainian passenger plane was accidentally shot down on January 8. “Unfortunately, he made a bad decision,” said aerospace division head Amirali Hajizadeh at a briefing in Tehran on January 11.
