WASHINGTON – Stand Up America has launched a six-figure organizing campaign demanding that every senator vote to convict Donald Trump. The campaign will specifically ramp up pressure on Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), who will be a key vote in the Senate impeachment trial, to vote in favor of removing Trump from office
“This campaign will help ensure that Susan Collins feels an enormous amount of pressure to stand up for our democracy and remove the criminal in the White House,” said Stand Up America spokesperson Ryan Thomas. “Will she defend the Constitution, or help cover up Trump’s crimes? History is watching what she does next.”
Over the coming months, Stand Up America will spend more than $300,000 on digital organizing efforts nationally, including:
- Launching a volunteer-driven peer-to-peer texting campaign using the voter file to drive calls to senators and educate hundreds of thousands of constituents in key states
- Mobilizing the community of 2.5 million progressives in every state in the country to make calls to demand a fair Senate trial and Trump’s removal from office
- Driving constituents to visit Senate offices, including the offices of Sen. Collins, using our VisitThem tool
- Running digital ads targeting national audiences to drive calls to the Senate and educate the public about Trump’s impeachment and the Senate trial
In addition to Sen. Collins, Stand Up America’s campaign will also pressure over a dozen other senators, including:
- Alexander (TN)
- Ernst (IA)
- Gardner (CO)
- Hyde-Smith (MS)
- Jones (AL)
- Manchin (WV)
- McSally (AZ)
- Murkowski (AK)
- Perdue (GA)
- Portman (OH)
- Romney (UT)
- Sasse (NE)
- Sinema (AZ)
- Tillis (NC)
