WASHINGTON – Reacting to comments by US secretary of state Mike Pompeo, Nick Dearden, director of Global Justice Now, said:

“Mike Pompeo can insist that chlorinated chicken is on the menu, but we can get up and go to a different restaurant. No deal with Donald Trump’s United States is better than a bad deal. However they voted on Brexit, the British public are strongly against an assault on our food standards for the benefit of American agri-business. He’s going to have a real fight on his hands to stuff chlorinated chicken down our throats.”
