Pelosi takes on “manifesto of mistruths.” Photos by Jonathan Ernst/Reuters

Turns out the state of the union is…not good, though admittedly filled with drama. It began with Trump refusing to shake Pelosi’s hand, devolved into an 81-minute campaign rally rant of lies and boasts and racist dog whistles, and ended with Pelosi ripping up his “manifesto of mistruths” while GOP cretins were still cheering it. Asked about her action, which outraged GOP supporters, she explained it was “the courteous thing to do given the alternatives.” She elaborated: “The manifesto of mistruths presented in page after page of the address tonight should be a call to action for everyone who expects truth from the President and policies worthy of his office and the American people.” Later, she got down to it: “It was such a dirty speech.”
