A 58-second video of a man in a helicopter rescuing a bird has gone viral. Several Facebook and Twitter users have shared it with the claim that the Jain samaj in Surat arranged for the helicopter to rescue the bird.
A Twitter user posted the video along with the viral text on February 10.

FACT-CHECK
Using InVID, Alt News did a keyframe analysis and performed a reverse image search on TinEye. We found a 2013 report by ‘Mirror’ which states that this incident took place in Virginia Beach, US. As per the report, a distressed seagull was saved from power lines.
Doing a keyword search on Google, Alt News found reports by ‘News Talk Florida‘ and ‘The Virginian Pilot‘. According to the reports, the seagull was tangled in power lines for days near the Lesner Bridge in Virginia Beach. The bird was rescued and given to the US Department of Agriculture.
The video was also shared in 2013.
A seagull in Virginia Beach was trapped on a power line for days until Virginia Dominion Power crew came to the rescue.
