Cyclone Amphan had wreaked havoc in Eastern India in mid-March including in the northeastern. Over the past week, several people shared a 30-second video of a landslide with the claim that it happened in India.
On May 21, Facebook page The Manipur Age posted the viral video and wrote that it occurred on Meghalaya national highway. (archive link)
Similarly, The Lokmanch, a Facebook page that claims to put out news, posted the viral video and said that the landslide took place on Guwahati to Shillong Highway. (archive link)
Fact-check
Alt News analysed the viral video using InVid and performed a reverse image search of the first keyframe via Google.
The second search result on Google led to the viral video. It was published by Indonesia-based news channel Tribun Jateng on YouTube.
The video description linked to an April 9 report by Tribun Jateng stated Cianjur Regency BPBD Disaster Preparedness Officer informed that the landslide occurred on Jalan Raya Sukanagara – Pagelaran in Indonesia on April 9. Another Indonesia-based news website Sukabumi Update reported the same.
Multiple videos of the same landslide taken from different angles are available on YouTube.
Moreover, on May 21, Meghalaya Police had debunked the claim and clarified that the video is from the settlements of Chiangjur & Sukanagara in Indonesia.
A video clip of a Landslide which is being circulated on social media is from settlements of Chiangjur & Sukanagara in Indonesia, NOT from National Highway of Meghalaya.
We request citizens not to share or circulate the video clip with false content or caption. pic.twitter.com/evQ3UvZm0F

Thus the social media claim associated with the viral video is false. The landslide occurred in Indonesia and not in India.
