We’re happy to share this upbeat song with you from the PFC Band’s 2018 concert in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil. This song was written at GoldenEye in Jamaica after a conversation about music with Chris Blackwell (founder of Island Records). He told a story about Sting writing “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” sitting on the beach just down the way. PFC Band member Robin Moxey woke up early the next day and went to the beach with his guitar to see if inspiration would strike.

Thinking about his encounter with a wise Rastaman at the “government yard” in Trenchtown the day before, Robin began to strum and the song just poured out. “It’s an anthem about doing your best and not being a prisoner in your own mind,” says Robin. “It seemed to write itself and was finished just in time for breakfast.”

A few months later, the PFC Band was performing the song live in front of thousands of people in Brazil with Grandpa Elliott playing some down home harmonica over a horn laden “Jamaican country gumbo“ created by musicians from all over the world.

Let the music set you free!
