Long recognized as one of the greatest contemporary support riders, during the last few years Sepp Kuss’s grueling work made possible a series of incredible grand tour victories for his team, Yumbo-Visma, but he was never a rider designated to win such a race as this, which makes this all the more significant an accomplishment.
