Who can order Media ID Cards? Anyone can create a Media ID. We sell standard issue kits that come with a your custom printed Media ID Card to anyone wanting to get involved in journalism. You don’t have to major in journalism to be a journalist – everyone is a journalist. Start by uploading your photo on the top of the page.

Can I order a journalism kit as a gift for someone else? Yes, but be sure you have their permission to use their photo. Our Media ID kits are a great gift for anyone and make for a memorable reminder that can inspire people to take action reporting or voicing their opinion on important issues. Everyone can relate to something happening in the news, which makes our kits great for open ended exploration of topics from individual unique perspectives. Do you offer a student discount? Absolutely. Send a scanned copy of your school ID to info@radiofree.org with “Student Verification” in the subject line. We will send you a code containing a student rate.

Replace Lost Card

Lost, stolen, clawed, mangled, chewed?

We don’t need to know what happened, but it will cost you a $25 replacement fee each time you need a replacement card. Use the form at the top of the page to order a replacement. You will need to provide an updated photo and information. During the checkout process select the option for replacement card and enter your new Media ID Card Number.

Report lost or stolen cards with the error reporting system. If you wish to provide a description of the incident we may deactivate it.
