As the vile spectre of Trump has returned to suck up oxygen again – lamentably, but in a righteous cause – enraging proof abounds that his crimes deserve whatever current retribution is meted out to him and then some. While his brazen incitement of the riot – “This is what happens” when you don’t elect me – is this week’s focus, it seems he’s also still whining – he quit the Screen Actors’ Guild before they could eject him because “You have done nothing for me” – and dodging – he killed anti-Biden ads about women to not “open a can of worms” about his own abuses – and, as always, grifting – #TrumpGriftsYou Die. Having repeatedly charged us untold millions for golfing and hotel rooms and….water… for his entourage and taking his kids to hob nob with U.K. royalty, he’s still tripling the rate of hotel rooms for rabid QAnon fans who think he’ll be re-elected March 4, just like he did right before the coup when his cheapest room rate soared to $8,000. And the hawking goes on: This week you can get the new, authentic, colorized Melania Coin – a JFK half-dollar that sold for almost $40 – for just $19.99 to “keep this piece of history (as) a constant reminder of our amazing First Lady.” Customers liked it, though some complained its “stunning” acrylic display was “to small.” Here on Planet Earth, there are other complaints. In Palm Beach, residents are still trying to figure out how to eject him from Mar-A-Lago, and his neighbors have voted to dump his foul name from a $1 to $4 million condo complex across the water from him. In Georgia, the Secretary of State has launched an investigation into his bullying effort to overturn the election in phone calls that may have violated three state criminal election laws; others have said the probe could lead to criminal charges, including solicitation to commit election fraud, conspiracy and “international interference” with an official’s “performance of election duties.” And speaking of performance: Stormy Daniels told Michael Cohen in his Mea Culpa podcast that her sex with Trump was “the worst 90 seconds of my life.”

This week will expose the biggest crime by the guy who said over 100 times the election was “rigged” or “stolen” and repeatedly urged a hungry mob to “fight like hell” even as his complicit, tinfoil party insists neither he nor they pushed the lies that incited a riot so really no malfeasance and all good. Not even their partners in crime buy the lie as rioters, once arrested, increasingly turn to the “Blame Trump” defense. Lawyers for several argue their clients were “egged on” by Trump or “merely following the directions of…the country’s chief law enforcement officer,” and one motion calls Trump “a de facto un-indicted co-conspirator in this case.” Which in reality represents what Rep. Jamie Raskin calls “the most grievous constitutional crime ever committed by a president” whose actions were “both riveting and horrifying.” In grim, wry tribute, a group of architects and other “trouble-makers” have created the astonishing D.J.
