BJP spokesperson Shalabh Mani Tripathi posted a 30-second video of a Muslim man threatening Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The man in the video says, “Imran Khan has given them respect, Pakistan has given them respect… Insha’alla they will join us in the war. Time to teach Modi a lesson. There are 45 crore [people there] and 20 crores here.. Modi you are doomed! Hindus will be eradicated from the world… This is a big achievement of Imran Khan.” The video has gained over 50,000 views.

Since Tripathi hasn’t mentioned where and when the video was shot, multiple Twitter users have assumed that the incident took place in India. (1, 2, 3, 4)

Old video from Pakistan
Alt News performed a reverse image search of one of the keyframes of the video and found a 2019 report by ANI. As per the report the video was uploaded by a Pakistan-based YouTube channel Naya Pakistan. After rummaging for videos on Naya Pakistan, we found that the viral video was uploaded on November 9, 2019.
Naya Pakistan seems to be a pro-government outlet that uploads vox-pop videos. We found the man in the viral video being interviewed by Naya Pakistan in several past videos as well. (1, 2, 3)
To sum it up, Shalabh Mani Tripathi shared a 2019 video of a man from Pakistan threatening PM Modi. This led many to believe that the video is from India. In the past as well, Tripathi has been found sharing misleading information.
