Further re-enforcing the fact it’s long past time for Susan “I Guess I’ll Vote For the Drunken Rapist” Collins to go, the Lincoln Project just released a blistering ad calling her out for what she is – a Trump stooge who “makes excuses for corruption, for criminality, for cruelty.” Arriving in the midst of an uber-expensive campaign for Collin’s crucial Senate seat, the hard-hitting ad calls out the tired, longtime myth of Collins’ supposed independence, offering a blunt reality check. “Susan Collins never stands up to Donald Trump. That’s why Maine is done with her weakness and excuses,” it says. “Collins isn’t an independent. She’s a fraud. Mitch McConnell and Donald Trump control her voice.” To anyone who’s seen her in waffling, cowardly inaction these last few years, that’s tough to refute. Who could forget her appalling vote for whining, drunken, entitled sexual abuser and anti-choice zealot Kavanaugh for the highest court in the land – “He has been an exemplary public servant, judge, teacher, coach, husband and father” WTF?! – followed by her mewling claim that furious Mainers and other “lefties” were offering a “BRIBE“ to her future Democrat opponent by raising $4 million in $3 donations to get her outta there because this is what democracy looks like.
After that atrocity, it was all downhill. In the face of COVID-19, she tried to ignore her critical stripping of $870 million in pandemic funding from the 2009 stimulus package; she got called out by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for her “‘I’m a Moderate Lady’ dance to cover up brutal policies and votes.” After years of coyly avoiding questions about her support for Trump’s monstrous agenda, she did her I-am-troubled routine for a while before making the unconscionable decision to vote against his impeachment. Then she offered the “beyond laughable” explanation he’d “learned” his lesson, thus proving herself to be the “craven partisan hack” she always was. Now, disappointed and concerned to be trailing in the polls as America’s least popular Senator, she’s released a campaign ad so cheesy and counter-intuitive that Mainers are joking she’s finally displaying the “unprecedented bipartisanship” she long falsely boasted about by making such a great ad for Sara Gideon. The ad names several very popular, sensible priorities Gideon has set for a future in the Senate: election reform, gun safety, protecting health care with a focus on those with pre-existing conditions, lowering the cost of prescription drugs, building a more equitable economy, and other apparently hare-brained schemes. Gideon cares about so many things, Collins charges, her top priority is “hard to pin down.” Wait, that’s your argument? From Twitter: “God, y’all are bad at this.” One bumper sticker going around: Colinoscopy 2020.
What is Sara Gideon’s “Top Priority?”
Hard to pin down, but one thing’s for sure — after 133 days of vacation during a crisis, it sure isn’t Maine.#mepolitics pic.twitter.com/hKT2PR1tzY

We are concerned that this vote was unforgivable, forever.
